  • Rental income: nonresidents receiving income from renting property must pay a 10% tax on that income;
  • VAT: All land transaction sales, as well as the leasing of all residential properties, are exempt from value-added tax;
  • Real estate tax: It is based on the property value (which is calculated by the local tax authority). The rates are usually between 0.1% and 0.5%.
