The most popular natural areas to explore are Pirin, "Chuprene", Rila, "Srebryna", Stara Planina."Rila Monastery" National Park is a complex of natural and architectural attractions and is a real pride of the Bulgarians.
History of Bulgaria is rich and interesting. Therefore cultural monuments of this country are so diverse.The Romans, ancient Thracians, Slavs and Turks left their footprints on this land.There is the famous Madara Horseman on the territory of the Madara national historical- archaeological reserve. There is the ancient Thracian Tomb in the district of Kazanlak. Nessebar, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and Sofia are very interesting from the excursional point of view where the largest number of interesting tourist sites is concentrated.
There are also many beautiful Orthodox churches in Bulgaria. Travel to Bachkovo and Rila Monastery, located in the mountains, will leave unforgettable impressions on any visitor. Aladzha Monastery, carved into the rock near Varna, is not without interest.
